GREETINGS OF PEACE AND WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF THE MSU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.

In designing this website, the MSUAA has taken a significant step to render in concrete form one of the main functions of the publication committee of the MSUAA, namely, “… to develop and maintain a communication and public relations program through cyberspace, the print media, and other means that shall project the programs, activities and accomplishments of the Association.”

The creation of the official website of the MSUAA is groundbreaking. Through this website, we shall contribute in enabling the mother association and its chapters to sharpen their perspectives of societal transformations and of the stark realities that impinge upon each group of alumni desirous of addressing the changing faces of peace and development. Through this website, the mother association and the chapters may find a venue for exchange of ideas and more bases to make informed choices in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs for the realization of their organizational goals and objectives.

As I had consistently articulated in previous fora, it behooves upon us, especially the alumni of the MSU System, to take the lead in engaging in discourse about these realities. To be relevant in keeping abreast with these societal transformations, it behooves upon us to take into account the foundations of social cohesion among the differentiated sectors of society. It behooves upon us to take action in addressing the dynamics attendant to and generated by these forces including those that mitigate conflict and the risks thereof.

We shall move on as we benefit from our hindsight about these realities, as we take cognizance of insights from contemporaneous and pragmatic experiences, and as we are guided by our foresight of the ideal and desirable for MSU, for Mindanao, for our country, and our region.

Let us visit this website regularly and learn, mutually, from these visits.
